Lebanon Baptist Church
Lebanon Baptist Church – The church first met in the Lebanon School House on September 28, 1879. About 1883, they began meeting in a one room church building and remained in that location until their building was lost to a tornado about 1903. Even though the establishment of Frisco in 1902 caused many of the Lebanon residents to move to Frisco, the remaining church members built this building in 1904 and continued to hold services in this building until it was moved to Heritage Center. The building is available to rent for special events through the City of Frisco. The piano in the church was purchased by Silas Quisenberry for his daughter Edna. Silas Liter Quisenberry was known to travel around the country trading mules and he always brought back a gift for his daughter, Edna Earl. In 1904-1905 when Edna was 11 years old, Silas made a trip to New York. On this trip he purchased a very special gift for her from The New York Music Company, a beautiful upright piano. The piano remained in the family until 2008 when it was donated to the Heritage Association of Frisco for use in the church.
