Oma Lee Phillips of Frisco, Texas; sons, Ron Phillips of Orlando, Florida, Dr. Don Phillips and wife, Lisa of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Connor Phillips, James Phillips, Maria Phillips, Gloria Phillips and Lydia Phillips.

He was a loving husband and a great role model for his sons, grandchildren, and the community. He served the community in numerous capacities including as a member of the Frisco ISD Board of Education for 15 years and on the Frisco Fire Department for 25 years, thirteen as fire chief. He was a dedicated member of the Heritage Association of Frisco.

He had a love for all people, but especially children and he and Oma Lee welcomed all into their home as they would their family. They acted as surrogate grandparents for many of these children.

The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Frisco. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lebanon Baptist Church in Frisco.
