Eugenia T. (Gene) Bain, 93, of Greenville, passed away January 1, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born February 3, 1917, in Frisco to Eugene and Hattie Thomas. She was a retired real estate broker, artist and art teacher. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, ALR Sunday School Class, Greenville Art League, Heritage Association of Frisco and a lifetime member of the DAV.

Eugenia is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Symonds and husband Richard of Longwood, Florida, and grandchildren Renee, Shawn and Arwen Symonds of Florida, Kevin Symonds of New York, Darla Hall of McKinney, and Valerie Ellis of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bain; a daughter, Virginia Floyd; and grandsons Ronald Thomas Lake and Mark Floyd.

A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Gould officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
