Lucille Kersey

November 30, 1915-January 6, 2008

Lucille Ethel Spann Kersey, born November 30, 1915 in Mineola, Texas, to Fred Spann and Ethel Spann passed away at age 92 on January 6, 2008. She was a Frisco resident since 2004.

She was a Dallas resident when she married H.C. (Bob) Kersey, who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Sunset High School and a member of University Park UMC for 56 years. A Life Member of the UMW, and Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class, a member of Alpha Psi Tri Psi Sorority for over 50 years. A Blue Bird and Camp Fire Girls leader, a member of Mary Gilliam Garden Club, Antique Study Club, and Friday Morning Book Club. She was also a member of the First UMC, Wesley Sunday School Class, and Heritage Association of Frisco.

She is survived by Susanne Kerley and Clyde, Jane Kersey Barfknecht and Charles; grandchildren, Andrew Kerley and Katie, Teresa Tebrinke and Michael, and Chad Barfknecht; and great-grandchildren, Rhett, Sydney, Cassie, and Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Lisa Barfknecht; and brothers, Fred, Estes, Victor, and John (Pete) Spann.

Service was Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1 p.m in Restland Memorial Chapel.
