Freddie Almon, 63, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.
Freddie was born Oct. 16, 1949, in Dallas, to Raymond and Katy Almon. He graduated from Frisco High School and from North Texas State University, now UNT, in Denton. He married Shelia Roper on Aug. 3, 1985, and together they raised their family. Freddie supported his family by working as a supervisor for TXU Energy for numerous years.

Freddie was a quarterback and pitcher and was once referred to as the greatest athlete to ever attend Frisco High School. However Freddie’s main loves were his family and his dog, Molly. He loved them all with a passion. His great sense of humor and his personality will be  greatly missed.

Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Almon.

Survivors: Wife, Shelia; children, Matthew Hawthorne and Lindsey Almon; mother, Katy Almon; and brother, Ronnie Almon and wife, Jonette.

Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville.
