The Depot

This structure represents the original depot built in 1902 on the west side of the railroad tracks near Main Street. The blue-gray painted Depot served the community of Frisco for approximately 63 years. The original depot was torn down in 1965. The train depot was the hub of activity in early Frisco because it provided a means of commerce for the farmers, shop keepers and also served as entertainment for the community. Watching the trains come into and out of town was a past time for early residents. The Depot was a large wooden barn-like structure consisting of a waiting room, agent office, and warehouse area for freight. The Depot is available for rental through the City of Frisco.
