The Windmill

This circa 1920 windmill was manufactured by the Aermoter Windmill Company which was located in Chicago at that time. It came from the Noel Smith farm. The Smith family owned and farmed many acres in and around Frisco. The Smith family purchased a farm in 1879 at the corner of what is now Lebanon Road and Ohio. Smith family members lived on this property continuously from 1879 to 2001 and farmed it until 1998. The windmill has made its home in Heritage Center since 2005.
