In February of 1902, the Blackland Prairie Townsite company auctioned off lots in the new town of Emerson, close to the new depot for the St. Louis – San Francisco Railway Company — also known as “The Frisco”. The town name soon became known as Frisco after the Railway.

Begin the journey to research your family history at our FREE introductory class Saturday March 4, 10am – noon. Attendees will receive a packet of information including forms, charts, and record-keeping items.
FREE FAMILY FUN! Third Sunday Open House, 1-4 p.m. at the Heritage Center. Visit with Frisco firefighters; watch square dancers in the Depot 2-4 p.m.; summer games and crafts; blacksmith demonstrations; all historic structures open to the public.
