Private Forrest Truman Gunstream (February 1, 1919 – February 17, 1975) was the son of Ernest and Romie Gunstream of Frisco and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was the grandson of A. J. Gunstream, known as the first Blacksmith of Frisco. Truman was wounded during D-Day at Normandy, France and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.
