Lost Towns Reception

Come and meet the ghosts of Bates, Camey, Erudia, Foncine, Lebanon, and Rock Hill – six towns established on the north Texas prairie that turned to dust as Frisco grew. A reception signals the official opening of “The Lost Towns of Frisco” exhibit. A tour and presentation by Heritage Association board member and exhibit designer Donna Anderson will share how the exhibit came to be, the history of its artifacts, and how the research for the exhibit evolved into a book. The author, Rita Crowder, will be on hand to sign your book.

Preservation of Frisco Historical Documents

Tattered and turning to dust, a rare 117-year-old flyer was recently discovered in the Heritage Association files. It pertained to the early sale of lots in the new town of Frisco. Learn about its preservation from Diana Kyle who obtained a grant to have it conserved.

We will look at how the growth of Frisco has led to changes in what Frisco ISD offers students from the implementation of veterinary science programs to non-traditional contests like Farm Business management. Those in attendance will get to look at where we have been in regards to agriculture education, how their efforts have allowed us to grow, and where we anticipate more growth to come.  View some of the Frisco FFA latest accomplishments.
