The Frisco Heritage Museum is hosting four history presentations at 1 p.m. Thursdays in the Heritage Theater. The guest speaker is Sara Dee, education and tourism director with Denton County’s Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum.

Program topics and schedules are as follows:

  • July 30 – Farming in Early Denton County & Early 20th Century Life —
  • August 6 – Historic Hispanic Families of Denton County —
  • August 13 – Farming in Early Denton County & Early 20th Century Life —
  • August 20 – Ranching, Brands, and Cattle Trails —

Each presentation provide a range of information about Denton County, which can also provide a snapshot of what life was like in other small communities in this region of Collin and Denton Counties. These traveling museum programs also include various illustrations and real artifacts dating from the late 1800s to 1900 that provides participants with a real “hands-on” point of view. The storytelling style of these programs is appropriate for school-aged children (K-12) and adults, and audience interaction with the artifacts is encouraged.
